It was truly the best fish sandwich I've ever had. Murat Abi and the other guy whose name I forgot to ask were very friendly. May God bless them and increase their earnings. They accept cash only and the prices are very affordable.

A very charming place. Since it’s a fish dish, the owner removed all the bones by hand; a delicious meal in its simplicity. Drinks are free, just like the owner’s kindness. We went there twice in three days—highly recommended.

The guy who owns this place in the corner is very polite and very friendly, we chose the fish portions with salad and it was delicious. I would recommend visiting here when in Istanbul. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

One of the best fish dishes. The owner was very sweet. We had no cash and he doesnt take card. He asked us to pay tomorrow. But we had changes and managed to pay him. 5 star service and 5 star food

Our Airbnb host suggested us to try this place and I’m so glad we did. Indeed the best fish sandwich we’ve ever eaten. Though we’re not too fond of fish but we absolutely loved it. Firstly he prepares it in front of you and all his ingredients are super fresh. A must try in Istanbul!!

Verry good food, the fish was the best in town, I chose first fish in bread, 80tl and then i tried fish in wrap, also 80tl, drinks are 20tl.
The man was very kind to us and very careful in cleaning the bony fish
PS. the man prepare the food with gloves and when cleaning the table he change the gloves, 10 points for that 👍🏻
I recomand that fish sandvicis if you are here

A hidden gem for fish lovers ! One of the best balik ekmek I’ve ever had in Istanbul. We kept ordering more and more. Highly recommended. Thank you for the amazing sandwich and the smile on your face 🙂 your dedication to perfection shines through in every bite.

Forget fish sandwiches on Galata bridge and definitely come here! This is the best balık ekmek in Istanbul! Thank you so much for the perfect dinner! I wish you all the best!
(I do not eat vegetable, so mine balık ekmek may look not so tasty but was reslly delicious!)

This was the best thing i have eaten in Istanbul so far. It was even better than I expected, the fish was perfectly roasted, the bread was delicious and the amount of seasoning was perfect. The guy making them is very nice, he roasts each fish carefully and takes pride in his job.
Definitely recommend it!

What a meal! Ordered 2 and like every other reviewer has said the owner carefully picks out every bone in the fish and the sandwich is just delicious! The lemon balances it perfectly. A must try in Istanbul. Highly recommend.

This may have been the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life. Grilled fish, grilled bread, lettuce, lemon juice, salt, spices. Absolutely amazing.

Best fish and bread ever. Order 2 yesterday, the man is so clean, he removed all the bones carefully and with love, the fish is so tasty with fresh lemon juice squeezed on top of it, added onions, lettuce, paprika… These form a nice sauce which don’t leave the bread dry. Highly recommended if you are around old city. Only regret I had is that I should have tried it the first day we arrived in Istanbul rather than the last day!
